  • Sept. 22, 2025

During the 42nd IASP World Conference, held in Beijing from 16–19 September 2025, members of the International Scientific Cooperation Office of Isfahan Science and Technology Town (ISTT) presented a joint paper titled “Building an Innovation and Entrepreneurship Community: Insights from ISTT.” The paper was co-authored by Mozhgan and Nassim Yazdianpour and presented by Mozhgan Yazdianpour, Director of International Relations at ISTT.

The paper examined the role of innovation spaces in strengthening technology ecosystems, enhancing economic resilience, and empowering knowledge-based companies. Successful examples from ISTT were introduced as scalable models for science and technology parks worldwide.

In addition to the paper presentation, Ms. Yazdianpour spoke at the joint conference of the Triple Helix Association and the Chinese Association for Science Programs, where she outlined Iran’s capabilities and strategies in innovation policy-making.

On the sidelines of these events, she held bilateral meetings with leaders of science and technology parks from Spain, France, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, Oman, and other countries. Discussions focused on specialized training for innovation managers, technology transfer and localization, joint investment in Iranian startups, and the creation of international networks for knowledge exchange.

The outcomes of these negotiations will be integrated into the National Capacity-Building Program for Science and Technology Park Managers, currently led by ISTT. This program aims to enhance managerial skills, expand international capacities, and foster effective linkages between Iranian and global science parks.

ISTT’s active and impactful presence at IASP 2025 highlighted its prominent role in the global innovation landscape and reaffirmed its capacity to contribute to the development of Iran’s knowledge-based economy. Notably, ISTT’s paper was the only contribution from Iran among nearly 80 presented at the conference, which gathered more than 1,000 participants from 93 countries.
